The Philosophy and Design of Azorius Control
The Azorius Control archetype is generally designed to overwhelm opponents with card advantage, answer threats one-for-one via counters and removals, stabilize the board with sweepers, disrupt mana bases, and generally force concession through Planeswalker activations, beating with Snapcaster Mage, Solitude, Vendilion Clique, Shark Typhoon, Hall of Storm Giants, and/or Celestial Colonnade.
The core template typically plays 24-25 lands, somewhere between 0 and 8 creatures, 4-8+ Planeswalkers, and a combination of cantrips, draw spells, removals, and counters.
